One Night Stand starts with a flashback of events, Tanuj (Urvil) has organised a fashion show and he gets a glimpse of Sunny Leone, he happens to see her again in morning at the hotel they are staying in and bets with his colleagues for Rs 5000 to talk to Sunny.
He wins the bet and then happens a one night stand between the two. Urvil wakes up in morning only to find that Sunny has left without informing him. Everything seems to be fine, Simran (Nyra Banerjee) comes to pick up husband Urvil at the airport in Pune.
Things are fine between the couple until Urvil realised he wants to find Celina (Sunny) who’s real name is Amber in the film and is married with a kid. Days pass and one day as luck would have it, Urvil finally meets Amber as the wife of a businessman for whom he had organised a show. Urvil then starts to stalk Amber, also the chain of events land him at her place.
In the mean time the differences between Urvil and Simran widen and the story progresses in the second half.
For all those who think the film is only about love making scenes, you will be disappointed because debut director Jasmine D’Souza has portrayed Sunny in a different role. Jasmine has done a good job while showing the few intimate scenes and they have been aesthetically shot, it’s a bit refreshing from Sunny’s earlier films that were by and large only about skin show.
Though the second half has an interesting chain of events the script is weak. Tanuj Virwani has definitely improved compared to his past two films but there are sequences in which it looks like he is making efforts to get the expressions right.
Producer Furquan Khan has definitely spent a good amount of money on getting the right music and locales for the shoot of the film in Mumbai, Pune and Bangkok. Sunny Leone looks fresh and different in a film that not exposes her throughout the film. Nyra Banerjee has made an impressive debut. The film’s plot is interesting at the start but the way it pans out towards the end is not very impressive. Sunny Leone fans who are going to watch it for the skin show might be disappointed. Overall a good one time watch.
