Intro- The sequel to Anubhav Sinha’s 2001 romantic film, Tum Bin is all set to release this week. Starring Neha Sharma, Aditya Seal and Aashim Gulati in lead roles, Tum Bin 2, is scheduled for a theatrical release on 18th November 2016. The major reason for ‘Tum Bin’s’ success was its soulful music, and now the sequel’s music which has been composed by Ankit Tiwari is garnering rave reviews.

Music- The music of Tum Bin is remembered till date and this time there are massive expectations from music composer Ankit Tiwari and lyricist Manoj Muntashir. All soundtracks from Tum Bin like title track Tum Bin', 'Chhoti Chhoti Raatein', 'Tumharay Siva', 'Meri Duniya Mein', 'Daroo Vich Pyaar' and of course the legendary track, 'Koi Fariyaad' were all chartbusters and as expected ‘Tum Bin 2’ also features a series of romantic tracks.

Teri Fariyaad

The highlight of the album is 'Teri Fariyad', which is a recreated version of the original track in 'Tum Bin'. While Koi Fariyad was sung by the legendary singer, late Jagjit Singh, the new one has been recorded by Rekha Bharadwaj. The new version still has a high feel, but somehow lacks the soulful feel of the earlier version.

Ishq Mubarak

Ishq Mubarak, sung by Arijit Singh is the second song from the album. Ankit Tiwari’s composition is interesting and its lyrics deserve special mention. It is a quintessential Bollywood number and has a ‘sufi feel to it. Arijit gives it a wonderful rendition, which will definitely never go out of style.

Dekh Lena

Singers Arijit Singh and Tulsi Kumar come together for this song and it’s a beautiful romantic number. This song may enjoy immense commercial success as its tunes sound like typical Bollywood number. It’s an out-an-out romantic number and the video shows the lead stars in snow-clad mountains, and that further-ups the romantic quotient.

Tum Bin

Tum Bin has been one of the most popular tracks from the 2001 prequel and the new version has a fresh feel. The new track has been sung by composer/singer Ankit Tiwari. The lyrics have changed and it may not be one of the soulful renditions from Chitra Singh, but Ankit Tiwari surely makes it worth listening.

Masta

Masta is an extremely upbeat song sung by Vishal Dadlani and Neeti Mohan. As an audio track, Neeti and Vishal have given an energetic rendition and one can actually groove to this peppy number. This one is a happy song and is choreographed well.

Dil Nawaziyaan

This soulful number from Arko and Payal Dev could have been one of the chartbusters in the album, but sadly it doesn’t match up to Arko’s earlier songs like Dariya from Baar Baar Dekho and Sathi Re from Kapoor & Sons.

Jaegar Bomb

Sung by DJ Bravo, Ankit Tiwari and Harshad Mad, Jaeger Bomb is a party number. Since DJ Bravo has a great fan following, the song may enjoy longevity and turn out to be a party rocker.

Final Verdict-Though the soundtrack of ‘Tum Bin 2’ is not exceptional, but overall it offers a good variety and registers a good impression among listeners. Few of the songs are good, but it doesn’t have the longevity or the potential to become a successful chartbuster like its prequel ‘Tum Bin’.
