Shah Rukh Khan who has reigned over Bollywood for more than two decades now feels that in today’s time and age, it is not difficult to become a star. Speaking to a leading daily, the star also observed that the growth of digitization in today’s era means that the future superstar would be on the Internet. Justifying his need for over-the-top promotions the star asserts that the person grabbing the most eyeballs in television is today’s superstar. The star feels that because of the number of options available to the present generation, the longevity of stardom has also reduced and therefore today’s stars may not have the lasting power that he or any of his contemporaries have. Giving an example the star says, “I don’t think the next superstar will last for 24 years like me, but he will be there for five years and then a new one will come, because of over exposure. I miss those days but now we have other things now like 1 million views in one day, 5 million views in three Days which is like Silver Jubilee and Golden Jubilee for today.”
At last a quote worthy of you SRK! Well said indeed!
